Abstract
In this paper an outline on the communicative approach is presented and focuses on communication as a process and outcome; in the functions performed with the language through interaction in a given context. It also refers to the methodological theory of educational communication, which has been enriched in recent years with the development of cognitive theory, information processing and humanistic theory, which consider the needs and interests of students, their responsibility in learning, developing learning strategies and active role in the construction of knowledge through the socializing learning experi-mental cooperative, meaningful and enjoyable.
