Methodology to Strengthen the Process of Formation of the Listening Ability in English

Abstract

The present article presents a brief theoretical systematization of the fundamental constructsrelated with the formation process of the listening ability in English in the basic level, the state diagnostic of that process in the Bolivian Army Language School and its methodology for its potentiation. It has as objective to propose a methodology that potentiates the formation process of listening ability in English, in the basic level students of the Bolivian Army Language School. The investigative process was done under a dialectic conception, with the utilization of the model method, systemic-structural, hypothetical-deductive, analysis, synthesis,induction, deduction,documents analysis, pedagogic test, interviews and focal groups to systematize, to model, to characterize and to value the formation process mentionedbefore. As most significant conclusions, the formation process of the listening ability in English its conceive on a base of a developing didactic of foreign languages, for the professional formation; that the formation process of this ability in the school mentioned before its evaluated in the low scale, for the deficiency in the instructive, educative and developing contents, for the basic students and for an inefficient administration in the teaching process; As last, the methodology that is proposed will potentiate the formation process of the listening ability in English, in the basic level in the Bolivian Army Language School.
