LEADING ARTICLE

It is a writing with scientific or opinion content, written by the director or another professional at the request of the Editorial Committee of the journal.

Scientific editorials: they represent a rigorous update or an interesting clarification on a certain topic. Opinion editorials: they collect the author's socio-scientific points of view or positions on a certain topic of common interest to researchers and professionals about Education.

They will have a maximum length of 4 pages and may include up to 4 figures or tables.

ORIGINAL ARTICLES (Open Peer Review)

The original manuscript must be written in Microsoft Word, in Verdana 10 font, with a spacing of 1.5 spaces, with margins of 2.5 cm, without indents, tabs or any other design attribute. Each page should have between 28 and 30 lines.

The manuscript will have a maximum of 20 pages that will include the bibliography and annexes (if necessary), and at least 10 pages without counting the bibliography or annexes, which will be added at the end, according to the rules for each of the types of articles we publish. The original article must respect the IMRYD format, which is commonly used for the publication of research results: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion (Each of them will be written separately, headed by the corresponding name without numbering, for example : Introduction). Up to 6 figures and tables are allowed, with a minimum of 10 bibliographic references and a maximum of 15.

REVIEW ARTICLES

They are fundamentally systematizations of scientific journals with visibility, or other publications in various formats, in which a critical analysis is presented, based on an exhaustive review of what has been published on a topic. The theoretical positions of those who have previously studied it are discussed and substantiated, updating them based on the author's new knowledge and / or empirical experiences and contributing ideas or positions to the state of the art about him.

They are written following the introduction, development and conclusions structure, although the abstract must have an IMRyC structure (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results (the main one) and Conclusion (the essential ones)). Up to 6 figures and tables are allowed, with 25 bibliographic references such as minimum and 40 maximum.

PEDAGOGICAL DIALOGUE

(Once its submission is closed, it is only kept to be able to view the works published in previous volumes) It has a minimum length of 2,500 words and maximum 3 500, including references. The text of the article to be presented by subtitles to guide the reader through the history of the study, the ways in which it was made and the contributions of the author to new positions or theories regarding the subject or practical solutions to issues associated education and / or science teaching. There may be tables or illustrations that help the understanding of the text, provided they do not occupy more than 30% of the length of the article and are numbered and their respective title preceded by the name: Fig. The title and the source from which it was taken are placed at the bottom of the corresponding figure. The abstract of 150 words in Spanish and English that reflects the objective of the article (which must be closely related to its title) as well as major contributions that it makes to the subject. RELEVANT PEDAGOGUES

(Once its submission is closed, it is only kept to be able to view the works published in previous volumes) It is  dedicated to disseminating historical essays on the life and work of Cuban teachers of all ages, already physically disappeared, based on empirical and / or bibliographic inquiries from their authors. It will have a minimum length of 1,500 words and a maximum of 3,000. It will not have an abstract or keywords. Only proposals that are accompanied by a photograph of the teacher will be evaluated.

BOOK PRESENTATION

(Once its submission is closed, it is only kept to be able to view the works published in previous volumes) This section  includes critical appraisal works on books and other national or international documents referring to the issues of interest of the journal, prioritizing those published in the year of issue of the corresponding issue or those of the immediately preceding year. It will have a maximum length of 1000 words. Proposals must be accompanied by a photograph of the cover of the book.

CULTURAL BEGINNINGS

This section exists to keep the history of Mendive Magazine. From 2016 this section is not open for the receipt and publication of papers.
