Open access policy
Mendive. Revista de Educación is an open access publication and its principle is to publish research free of charge to the entire educational community, fostering a greater exchange of global scientific knowledge. This means that all its contents can be freely accessed at no cost to the user or his/her institution. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of the articles in this journal because everything is published under a Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International.
This journal does not charge for executing the editorial process to the manuscripts received (No APC). The source of financing is the University of Pinar del Río "Hermanos Saíz Montes de Oca".
With this, it participates in the initiatives in favor of open access to scientific information promoted by the Budapest Declaration (Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002) and Berlin Declaration (Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities, 2003) ascribing to the Open Access paradigm, defined in the international declarations as "free access through internet to scientific literature, respecting the existing copyright laws".
Use of data servers
Data servers play a crucial role in scientific journals by providing a reliable platform for storing and sharing data sets related to published research. Their importance lies in the fact that they promote transparency and reproducibility of studies, allowing other researchers to verify and use the data in future work. In addition, these servers promote scientific collaboration by facilitating access to key information globally. By centralizing data, they also optimize resources and avoid duplication of effort, strengthening the integrity and efficiency of the scientific process.
The use of data servers in scientific journals has become essential in modern research. These servers provide a platform for storing, sharing and accessing datasets relevant to published research.

Use of preprint servers
Preprint servers are platforms where researchers can share draft versions of their manuscripts prior to peer review. This allows to establish precedence, receive comments and improve the work before submitting it to an academic journal. Many journals and scientific societies accept the use of preprints and have specific policies in this regard.
