Utopia ... radio as a tool for teacher training

Abstract

Due to the need to find new strategies and spaces that would allow to strengthening the cultural and pedagogical diffusion, a local radio program named “Utopía” has come as a formative experience, as a result from a project between two of the most important universities from Yucatán (Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán and Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, campus Yucatán). This article shows the genesis process and the application of this educational radio project, some results obtained nowadays and their employment in other areas that have gone beyond the radio space.
